== Routing Sound from the TCL TV to the Bose Speaker == Using a coaxial cable (with a thick prong like component video, not a thin prong like the cable providing cable TV) connect the coaxial input on the Bose speaker to the SPDIF/Digital Audio Out jack on the TV. The SPDIF jack is located right above the component video jack group. == Control TCL TV With Bose Remote == Turn on both the Bose speaker and the TV. * On the Bose remote, press the large center power button to power on the Bose speaker. * Press the "TV" button above the power button to set TV as the source for the speaker. * On the Bose remote, press the "Source" power button to the right of the main power button to power on the TV. * Hold down the "TV" source button until all 6 of the source buttons light up green. * Once the 6 buttons turn off again the "TV" button will remain lit. * Enter the TV code for TCL on the Bose remote numerical buttons: 02231.<br/>''(Bose hosts a PDF listing all TV manufacturer codes.)'' * Press the "+" button on the volume control of the Bose remote to set the TV manufacturer code. Now pressing the '''Menu''' button on the Bose remote should pull up the TCL menu on the screen and allow configuring the TV using the Bose remote. Note that there is a Roku TCL TV out there that has a different code. This model is newer than this TCL model. That code does't work. The Roku connects to the TV; it's not possible to control the Roku through the Bose remote. == Turning off sound from the TV == Once sound from the TV is being routed to the Bose speaker and the TV can be controlled with the Bose remote, turn off the TV speaker. * With both the speaker and TV powered on press the '''Menu''' button on the Bose remote. * Scroll down to '''Sound'''. * Under the sound settings, scroll down to '''Speaker''' and use the left or right arrow button to turn it to '''Off''' if it is currently on. * Now sound should only be coming from the Bose speaker.
