Editing Using Storyboard Pro on an iPad

== Connecting the iPad ==

Connect the iPad to a Mac laptop with a USB-C cable. 

It's possible to do this with a basic USB-C cable. 

iPad Pro 4th gen has a USB-C connector, so a thunderbolt cable won't a make a difference. The current iPad Pro's connector is thunderbolt/USB 4.

It's also possible to use the iPad as a secondary display without a USB cable, but I'm not sure if it's possible to invoke '''Sidecar''' wirelessly.

== Make the iPad a 2nd display ==

On the Mac, '''System Settings''' > '''Displays''' > click the '''+''' drop down > select the iPad from the available devices.

This will open '''Sidecar''' on the iPad, which will basically display the Mac desktop with some modifier keys on the side. 

== Running Storyboard Pro ==

On the laptop, open '''Storyboard Pro''', and open a project.

Click and hold the green button at the top left of the menu bar of the SBP window. Select '''Move to ''[iPad name]'''''. 

With the SBP stage on the iPad screen, it's possible to draw with the Apple pencil, albeit it's a little laggy, at least using a basic USB-C to connect the iPad to the laptop.

== Closing the connection ==

Move the SBP window back to the laptop by clicking on the green button again > '''Move back to Mac'''.

Hide '''Sidecar''' by swiping up.

Close '''Sidecar''' on the Mac with '''System Settings''' > '''Displays''' > '''+''' dropdown > Select the iPad from the list of devices to uncheck it.
