Overview[edit]
Documentation of how the Align With Layer option works with Photoshop gradient layers.
Align With Layers option[edit]
The Align with Layer option limits the gradient to the visible pixels in the gradient layer's mask.
Things that do not affect the gradient layer vis-a-vis the Align With Layer option:
- Clipping the gradient layer to layers below the gradient layer.
- The visible pixels in layers below the gradient layer.
- If the gradient layer has no mask, or if every pixel in its mask is 100% white.
Gradient Layer options[edit]
Access the Align With Layer option when the gradient layer is first created, or by double clicking the gradient layer in the Layers tool window.
