License[edit]

I have a perpetual license for SBP 7.x which should entitle use of SBP on any desktop as a single user.

The license would need to be deactivated on one desktop to use the license on a different computer.

The licenses can be retrieved on the Toon Boom website.

If a license isn't installed, activate it by entering the Toon Boom account login and password. The activation prompt will state that there are no active subscriptions, but a subscription isn't needed to use SBP. Continue to enter the license using the "internet" option.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing

Problem: After downloading and installing SBP 7 into the Applications folder, tried launching the app through Spotlight. Received the following message: "Storyboard Pro 7 can't be opened because apple cannot check it for malicious software."

Solution: Located the app in the Applications folder, right click > Open. This will generate a similar prompt, but this time with an Open button that will allow the app to be launched.

Problem: After getting the app past security prompts using the methods above, there is a security prompt reporting that libOSGBase.dylib' cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.

Solution:

  • Main Mac Menu > System Settings > Privacy & Security > scroll down to Security
  • There should be a message to the effect of "libOSGBase.dylib was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer"
  • Click Allow anyway
