- Pros:
- Support for OSX/Win/Android/iOS.
- Unlimited storage (well, up to the size of the drive)
- Syncs with Google Drive
- Cons:
- Vulnerable to hackers. Necessary to keep the DSM up-to-date to incorporate the latest security fixes.
- Pros:
- Google Drive
- Microsoft OneDrive
- AWS
- SpiderOak
- Pros:
- Good encryption. The key is stored locally, so they can't get at your data even if they tried.
- 2Gb free; $100/yr for 100Gb
- Cons:
- Reportedly slow on OS X, drains battery power, slow sync.
- Pros:
- Bittorrent Sync
- Pros:
- Works with OSX/Win/Android/iOS
- Data is only stored on local devices, not on a remote server.
- Works well with NAS.
- Uses QR codes/alphanumeric strings to match folders. No login or account creation necessary.
- Choose which folders to sync on each device.
- Cons:
- Port numbers are blocked on some networks which makes it difficult/impossible to access on an office network.
- Pros:
- Dropbox (Condi Rice is on their board of directors, hisssss)
