General

Forbid drawing on panel thumbnails Useful to uncheck this setting when drawing using Overview Workspace, i.e. a grid of panel thumbnails, if you want to draw directly on those thumbnails.

Project Settings

Default Panel Length The default is 1 second. PM recommends changing this to 00:00:00:08, i.e. 8 frames.

Save new projects in single file format (packed file) Check this option. Saves the project in a single file instead of literally thousands of files in multiple directories. When this option is on, File > Save saves the project to a cache. The project is saved to disk when quitting the program or closing the project. File > Save and Pack saves a packed project to disk.

Naming

Panel Auto-increment Rule The default is 1, 2, 3... which is the most useful, especially in cases when there are more than 26 panels in a scene. Any convention using letters tends to break down in that situation.

Colours

Adjust the values of the onion skin colors here.

Tools

Use Rotation Lever with transformation tools Check this option to display a lever to the right of transformation boxes which helps selecting that operation.

Import/Export

Burn-In

Draw Box Behind checked (And make sure to select a light color for the text and a dark color for Background Color

Height: 3%

Print Value Controls the format of the scene and panel numbers as they are burned into exported videos.

Pitch Mode

Disable auto-save while in Pitch Mode Workspace Uncheck this option while pitching, otherwise any auto-saves that occur will interrupt the pitch.

Advanced
