Delivery specs

  • 1920 x 1080 pixels @ 300 dpi TIFF
  • (Translates to 6.4 x 3.6 inches)
  • Add between 150 to 300 pixels (½ - 1 inches) on all sides as a bleed.

Drawing

  • Drawing at 225% target size
    • Photoshop file
      • Active area: 4320 x 2430
      • Size w/300 pixel bleed: 5670 x 3780
        (Yielding a ¼" margin in the final delivered artwork.)

      • Size w/600 pixel bleed: 6270 x 4380
        (Yielding a ½" margin in the final artwork.)

  • Drawing tools
    • Staedtler 2H pencil
      • Whittle down the wood to expose lead
      • Sharpen with Pacific Arc rotary lead pointer
    • Copic Multiliner SP, either 0.2 or 0.1

Scanning

  • Scan @ grayscale 600 dpi
  • In Photoshop
    • Apply Threshold
      • level: 178
    • Scale 50% (reduction)
    • Drop it into a 300 dpi file sized @ 225% enlargement relative to final target of 1920 x 1080
    • Scale the file 44.4% to match delivery specs
