On the remote computer, from a DOS prompt: 

> subst d: "\\damien-mg\d\"

Open Lightroom.

File > Open Catalog... (Ctrl+O) > Navigate to d:\Adobe Lightroom

To unmount a virtual drive: 

> subst /d d:
