Soft light[edit]
Formula
A combination of multiply and screen. Makes lights lighter and darks darker, effectively boosting contrast in the image. [1]
Application
A photo on a layer can be duplicated with soft light applied to the top copy of the photo. This will boost the contrast of the image.
